Dear Members,

Now that the weather is warm, it is time to come out of hibernation and get back into the dating world! The summer is a great time to meet and get to know new people. The nice weather opens many doors to fun and relatively inexpensive dates. Here are 10 ideas to throw a spark into your summer romance.

Fun Summer Date Ideas

1. Outdoor Picnic
There is nothing more romantic than an outdoor picnic with someone you care about. Bring a blanket, a bottle of wine and some food you can share together to the park, lake, beach or even your own backyard to create the perfect outdoor setting for your date.

2. Concerts and Festivals
Lots of bands go on tour during the summer and often they perform outdoor shows. Either bring your date to one of your favorite bands shows, find something you both enjoy or try something completely new together.

3. Go to a Baseball Game
Baseball is an all American pastime and always a great place to spend a lazy summer afternoon. Grab a hot dog and a beer and relax in the sun.

4. Road Trip!
The summer is a perfect time to go exploring. Either pick a local town you have never been to or just get in the car and drive. It does not have to be a major destination, sometimes it is fun to just explore towns in your state you may have never been to before.

5. Play Sports
A little competition never hurt anyone! Play with either just the two of you or with friends. Even better, join a summer recreational league. This will give you the opportunity to see each other every week and give you a common interest.

6. Go on an Adventure
There are lots of fun adventurous things to do in the summer. Go white water rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing or go for a hot air balloon ride.

7. The Great Outdoors
Going out into nature can be a great way to get to know someone. Go hiking, fishing, or camping and spend some time outside!

8. Amusement Park
Nothing brings out the kid in people like an amusement park. Going on a roller coaster can still bring a thrill even if you are not a teenager. Go on rides together and let your date win you a stuffed animal at the games!

9. Hit the Beach
This is a perfect opportunity to show some skin and relax in the sun. Pack a lunch and spend a nice day at the beach.

10. Go to the Zoo
Zoos are a lot of fun, especially when it is warm out. If you and your date are animal lovers, spend a day checking out all the exhibits at your local zoo.
