| It
was August of 2004 when my girlfriends and I were
at lunch discussing how our mothers were always
on the lookout for potential dates for us. As women
in our late twenties and early thirties, each of
us had a similar story to tell about each of our
mom’s hopes to end our single “condition“.
We joked that our moms should start networking together
to find us potential mates. And for me, the light
bulb turned on. |
| In truth, I started
with the original idea of doing only Matchmaking
Moms, but realized that all three sites
are needed. What distinguishes Matchmaking
Moms, MatchMaking
Friends, and Matchmaking
Kids from all other services is that
profiles and searches will be done by close family
and friends who love and care for them most. We
can be confident that our friends and family would
find the best person suited for us and we trust
them to do the “hunting and gathering”
for us, so we can be assured that profile matches
will be honest and genuine. |
| I guess you can say
that my past has prepared me to handle this matchmaking
adventure. I came from a military family that traveled
around the world, so I‘m quite familiar about
the difficulty of meeting people. Along the way,
I’ve developed keen and ambitious entrepreneurial
instincts throughout my life. After graduating with
a BA in Organizational Communications and a Minor
in Business, my career began at an investment banking
firm. Two years after that, I moved to Spain to
teach English. Later, I returned to the United States
to work for a well renowned e-commerce site for
over five years. |
